If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together. (attributed to an Aboriginal activists group, Queensland, 1970s)
The world needs you.
Not the you who tries to fit in. Not the one who tries to please those people (parents, mentors, friends). Not the one that follows.
The world needs you, the truest you.
Not the insecure you. Not the one that pushes other people down. Not the one who wishes bad things on your enemies and friends.
The world needs the whole you.
The world needs you in your most vulnerable, exposed, powerful form. The you who was meant to live.
The world – the earth, the animals, me, you – needs you. We need the you-est you.
We are a collective. Ourselves, our futures, our fates entangled. You rise, I rise.
If I rise, I am taking you with me. All of you.
It’s time to pull back the veil. Show the world the you who lives in your heart.
The one who feels free. The one who listens to her own voice. The one that does what she fucking wants.
We need you.
The one connected with her own power. The one that hears others. The one that knows we need each other.
I am set on this path. And since the fabric of our lives are woven together, I am taking you with me.
Every person who finds their power lifts our collective consciousness. There is no place where you end and the universe begins. You are the universe.
Invest in yourself. We need you in your full expression. By being your truest self, you help others. You life others when you lift yourself.
We are not in competition. We are not separate.
Take care of yourself and you are taking care of the collective. Take care of each other and you are taking care of yourself.
You rise, I rise. We need each other.
